In Will’s own words…
“I am a London based multi media artist, I’ve always seen music video as a chance to synchronise an abstract visual experiment with music.
The projections, morphing visuals and colour grading techniques, are a result of nearly 2 years practise based research during an Masters in Digital Fine Art I recently finished, the video focusses on the lyric driven nature of the track and the transcendental qualities of the fixed video shot. I’m always looking to produce a progressive far out image, but without the use of CGI software, lasers and lights are broken down to mirror the obscure post club poetics of The Off Key Hat.
I met Leon (Mayes, from the band) years ago we used to DJ together. He’s been hounding me to a do video for ages and threatened to set his greyhound on me if I didn’t agree.”
