I recorded this set at the beginning of the month at my NeW IDoLs night (9-1, every Wednesday at 99 Hanover St).
This night is all about ‘NeW IDoLs and old favourites’ and this night was a proper nostalgia-fest, inspired by the recent gig with Quantic‘s Combo Barbaro and Alice Russell. As such, it features many an old favourite from the early days of Trouble.
So, plenty of Tru Thoughts records, a lot of funk and soul, some Latin and Brazilian, some classics from West London’s ‘broken beat’ scene etc. All very summery really!
