Here’s a Hobbesian Top 50 for the year (of sorts), downloadable in three parts here, here and here, to help get your party started this festive season.  I’m not really a massive fan of charts but did quite enjoy reflecting on some of my favourite tunes of 2011.

These tracks aren’t arranged in order of preference so much as in an order in which i might play them out.  The whole thing lasts just under five hours – a virtual DJ set for your new year’s eve house party, say, albeit without any proper mixing (perhaps next year).  No doubt there are a few glaring omissions but aren’t there always…
