6 Day Riot

6 Day Riot are playing at Limbo tonight. They’ve been compared a lot to Mumford & Sons of late but their style also recalls Paul Simon’s Graceland LP, much like superstars Vampire Weekend. They were invited to support Belle & Sebastian at the Barrowlands in December 2010, which must have been a professional high-point at the time and it will be interesting to see how much people embrace them this year in the wake of the aforementioned stars’ successes.

This one for Run For Your Life has got a kooky kinda charm, as does this one for O Those Kids. I’m not so sure about this one for Take Me, which goes for a different idea altogether but it’s a great song.
